Missions Accomplished

Suffolk County Homefront, Inc was established in June 2007.  Since that time the majority of our funds have gone to benefit the troops through the purchase of equipment, shipment of care packages and monetary donations.  A very small percentage of our funds are utilized to cover operating expenses.  All donations made to Suffolk County Homefront, Inc are tax deductible.  

Through the generous donations we have received, we have been able to support or deployed residents and veterans in the following ways:

  • December 2007- Shipment of Holiday packages

  • March 2008- Cash donation to State Veterans Home at Stony Brook and donation of supplies for recreational therapy program..

  • Purchase of 50 Phoenix IR-14 Beacon's for the 69th Infantry, BayShore N.Y.  deploying to Iraq

  • Purchase of 20 Elvex Clear Lens Safety Glasses for 332 EMXS/TA Balad Air Base, Iraq

  • May 2008- Visit to Holbrook resident Cpl Christopher Levi at Walter Reed Army Medical Center  bringing him morale items for his rehabilitation

  • June 2008- Purchase of 150 bottles of Avon Bug Guard shipped to Iraq in assorted care packages.

  • July 2008- Cash donation toward the home renovation of Cpl Chris Levi

  • August 2008- Purchase of high powered rechargeable spotlights, batteries and bulbs for SECFOR Charlie 101 CAV, Camp Hughie Iraq

  • October 2008- Purchase of Gortex Desert Rank Insigne's and Fleece skull caps (donated by ROTHCO Supply Co. Ronkonkoma, NY) for 106th Rescue Wing, Westhampton, N.Y.

  • December 2008- Shipment of Holiday packages.

  • June 2009 - Purchase of six megaphones and 9 volt batteries (donated by Dantona Industries, Wantagh N.Y.) shipped to 455 Expeditionary Security Force Squadron Bagram Air Field Afghanistan.
